For the last six weeks or so I have been complaining about the cold weather we have been experiencing here in Nikiski. Well, it is over! On Thursday the clouds rolled in and it started to snow. For the past three days we have enjoyed warm(er) temps and blizzard conditions. Gotta love February in Alaska!
In any event, the snow stopped long enough this afternoon that we were able to get out for a snowmachine ride. We cruised through the woods and crossed some lakes in total snowmachine bliss...if there is such a thing. And, on top of it all, the days are getting longer!
Still, I'm no fool . I know we have a couple of months of winter left. But, it is certainly nice to be able to get outside and enjoy it without feeling the hurt of minus 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Yep, the cold is gone and...we got snow!
